Grief & Mother's Day

Good morning, I felt impelled today to write this blog about the fast approaching Mother’s Day. I have being struggling over the last couple of weeks missing my Mom. Rewind to April 2018 my whole world crumbled to pieces when I lost my beautiful Mom. I could never put into words the feelings and emotions that randomly show up, when something good happens in your life or when things just aren’t going your way. All you want to do is chat to your Mom. You are not alone and today I am sending so much love & healing to anyone who has lost a Mom or a loved one.
Mother's Day can be a difficult time for those who have experienced the loss of a mother. Grief is a complex and challenging process, and it can be especially challenging on a day that is meant to celebrate and honor mothers.
For those who have lost a mother, Mother's Day can bring up a range of emotions, including sadness, anger, and loneliness. It can be difficult to see others celebrating with their mothers, and it can be hard to find ways to honor and remember one's own mother on this day. Some people may choose to visit their mother's grave, light a candle in her memory, or participate in activities that were meaningful to her.

It is important to remember that grief is a unique and individual process, and there is no right or wrong way to grieve. Some people may choose to spend time alone on Mother's Day, while others may choose to spend time with family and friends. Whatever one's choice may be, it is important to allow oneself to feel and process the emotions that come up on this day.

It can also be helpful to seek support from others who have experienced similar losses. Support groups, counseling, and online communities can provide a space for individuals to share their experiences and feelings with others who understand.

Ultimately, it is important to remember that Mother's Day is a day to honor and celebrate all mothers, including those who are no longer with us. Whether one chooses to spend the day alone or with others, it is an opportunity to reflect on the love and memories that were shared with one's mother.
